Legacy Park in Sherwood Park now features a new ice slide, constructed by Activate Arts, stretching over 80 feet in length. To access it, park at the Fort Heritage Precinct and head behind the Fort. While you're there, you can also enjoy tobogganing and skating.

Date Idea 

Cattail Crossing Golf Course has opened its winter mini golf course, with admission priced at $16 for adults, $12 for kids aged 6-12, and free for the youngest visitors. In addition, they offer skating rinks, fire pits, and hot chocolate. For a complete evening, be sure to check out their fantastic on-site restaurant, Out of Bounds.

Restaurant Suggestion 

Reinette Cafe has unfortunately closed their West Edmonton Mall location, but their Woodvale location remains open. They offer high tea sets for two, priced between $30 and $50, which I’ve previously enjoyed with a friend. A preorder with a deposit is required.

Restaurant Openings

Golden Sparrow is opening this Wednesday, January 8th, on 124th Street, offering a selection of handcrafted cocktails and shareable plates.

Barbetta Cocktail and Wine Bar in Spruce Grove posted yesterday, saying "seven," which many, including myself, interpreted as an announcement that they will be opening in seven days, likely on January 12.

Town 82 Kitchenn and Bar has just opened, and they seem to offer some excellent cocktails.

Food News and Deals 

Until February 13, Campio is offering a buy one, get one free lunch deal from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Known for their Chicago-style deep dish pizzas, all you need to do is subscribe to their free VIP club on their website to take advantage of the offer.

Pyro in Sherwood Park has announced that they will be offering a monthly feature menu, highlighting a different country from around the world each month.
